First Coast IDPA is offering an Introduction to IDPA course on Sunday, February 15th, starting at 9:30 AM. The class will take place at the Flagler Gun and Archery Club. Anyone interested is welcome to attend; however, you must pre-register through Practiscore. The registration fee is $15 per person and will be collected on the day of the course.
Participants should bring:
· One handgun
· Three magazines
· 150 rounds of ammunition
· A cover garment
· A holster
· Two magazine pouches
This introductory session will teach basic commands, how to use the safe table, correct draw and holstering techniques, reloading, moving safely during a stage, helpful tips for shooting stages, various ways to engage targets, shooting from different distances, and methods for engaging moving targets.
It is strongly recommended that each student review the instructional videos found on the First Coast IDPA section of the Flagler Gun and Archery Club website before attending. Additionally, students are encouraged to visit their home range before the class to practice and become familiar with their firearm.
The class is limited to 15 students. Please register early to reserve your spot.
