Service Rifle / XTC Matches

This 50 round club match is shot to NRA rules. We shoot 10 rounds slow fire off hand, 10 rounds rapid fire sitting, 10 rounds rapid fire prone and 20 rounds slow fire prone. If the shooter wishes the starting position in rapid fire stages may begin in the standing position (CMP rules). Sighters are shot before the match begins. While we expect to shoot all matches at the 200 yard line, range conditions may require use of the 100 yard range. Sign up begins at 8:00 AM with sighters at 8:30AM

Sign in start's at 8 a.m. followed by warm up period before Match.
Six steel targets the sizes are 1 1/2 inch, 1 1/4" , 1",
3/4" , 1/2", 1/4 inch. The scoring is also very simple. 1st target is 1 point, 2nd is 2 points, and so on, 3 4 5 and 6 points for the targets respectively. If you get all the way across that's 21 points, called blackjack.

Course of fire is “hit to move on” which means you have to hit a target before you engage the next one. You have to shoot them in order. If you shoot a target out of order, it counts as a miss. Points accumulate and are not lost on a miss. After the first run across you stay on the last target for an additional 21 points each time you hit it. You have 12 shots and 3 min. (3 min 30 sec for single shot loaders) to complete. 1 mandatory mag change is required unless using a single shot loader. In the event of a tie, the shooter with the lowest accumulated time takes first place. Rifle classes are the same as FGC KYL.
Sign in at 8 A.M, First Shots at 8:30.

Match fees. $10 for members, $20 for non-members.

Action Bay's 1- 8 are reserved for this event from 8 am. To 12 pm. On Mondays.
Sign in at 8:00 am safety meeting at 8:30 am Starting time right after the safety meeting.
This is a six-stage steel challenge match.
Participants must register on Practiscore.com, slots fill up quickly so register early.
No walk on slots will be available the morning of match.

$10.00 dollars for club members and $20.00 dollars for non club members and a second gun is $10.00 additional

ALL participants must pre-register and squad at practiscore.com No Walk On’s will be taken.
NOTE: Club members will be allowed to bring no more than two guests to these events.

The Pistol Range sets up for those who want to practice the 'Bullseye' style of shooting.
Stop by if you are interested in learning or practicing this type of Pistol Shooting. Usually around 9 or 9:30 until late morning.

Shoot at 7, 15, or 25 yards. Pistol, Revolver, Iron or red dot sights. Mix and match your guns and shooting distance.
It goes by Bullseye rules as for targets and procedures. It is only a practice and you keep your own score.
Come out and have some fun.

Also please feel free to stop by the club house to donate $5.00 to the club to cover range costs, targets, replacement target stands, etc., for the pistol range.

You will be given a receipt to give to the practice manager who will issue targets in exchange for the targets.
If you bring your own targets a donation is nice but not required, or you may purchase targets at the clubhouse.

Course of Fire: The course of fire consists of five minutes for unlimited sighting shots and 2 strings of 10 shots for record at 200 yards.
The course of fire will be fired on electronic targets. (unless shooter is assigned a paper target) After the five-minute sighting period, the competitors will be given the command LOAD AND STANDBY. Shooters will then have 15 seconds for firing each round and 20 seconds for preparation. After one minute, 50 seconds, the LOAD AND STANDBY command for the second firer’s first shot is given.

Bench Shooters: Only authorized sandbag rests (Rule 6.4.3) or slings (Rule 6.3.3) may be used. No mechanical or adjustable rests, bipods, or rear rests or other means of support may be used. Front bag rests may not provide a channel in which to rest the rifle.

**Future matches will be scheduled on the club calendar; frequency will depend on participation and range availability".
Fees are $10 for members, $20 for nonmembers.
Saturdays sign up by 8:00 a.m. First shots promptly at 8:30.
Sundays sign up by 8:30 a.m. First shots promptly at 9:00

Targets are 8 swinging steel targets at 50 yards, plate sizes are 2 inch,
1 3/4", 1 1/2,
1 1/4”, 1", 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4"
Targets must be shot in order, largest to smallest. Target must visibly “swing” to be counted as a hit (Range Officials decision is final).

If a target is shot at and missed, you lose all accumulated points for that set.
If a target is shot out of order, you lose all points for that set.
You may stop at any time and keep all points earned for that set.
If time runs out and you have not missed, you keep your points for that set.
Match is 3 sets, shot from the prone / bench positions. Match score is total from all 3 rounds.
There is a 3-minute time limit per set starting at the buzzer after load and make ready.
NO COACHING – Shooter is responsible for hitting correct target, doping wind, etc.
No scores will be announced until the end of the match.

Matches are set up as " Friendly competition" among participants, In a supportive environment.
So, come out and have fun!

This 30 round club match is shot to CMP rules. We shoot 10 rounds slow fire prone, 10 rounds

NRA Certified Range Safety Officer Course.

This 9 hour course develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

Attendees must be age 21 or above. This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form. A light lunch will be provided, however please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, or you may bring your own lunch.

The cost of the class is $125.00 for non-members, and $100.00 for Members of the Flager Gun and Archery Club.

As of January 1st 2026 there are now three classification divisions for this match. Your rifles will be classified prior to the match.
Official ATA Factory and ATA unlimited class Target descriptions, and dimensions may be found online. Recommended equipment: Precision Bolt action or semi-auto rifle with minimum 24 Power Scope, front and rear bags, or mechanically adjustable supports.
Match description: Matches will be held on the 50 yard Rifle Range shot from a bench. Each participant will be issued two targets per match. Targets used will be determined by your classification division. There will be a 10 minute warm up/ zero period between each Target, after which you will have 20 minutes per Target to shoot additional warm up shots, and 25 score shots per Target with a total possible score of 500 points Plus 50 X's. Incase of a tie, participants with the most X count will be top Gun in there division for that match. All divisions may use recommended supports listed with no scope restrictions.
NO ONE PIECE SLEDS ALLOWED.
FACTORY CLASS DIVISION: targets too be used. (See note) modifications allowed: trigger assembly only.
SUPER FACTORY CLASS DIVISION: targets to be used. (See note)
Modifications allowed: upgrades/ modifications exceeds MSRP of $1,201, you will be moved up to the next division.
UNLIMITED DIVISION CLASS: MSRP $1201 and up. Targets too be used are official ATA Unlimited class only. No modification restrictions.
NOTE: Factory and super Factory class divisions are both allowed to use Official ATA Unlimited targets should they choose without changing original classification division. All points from either Target will be recorded.
Sunday matches will have a sign up time at 8:30 AM warm up starts promptly at 9:00 AM.

Equipment:
Any rifle with a barrel length of 18 inches or shorter will be eligible. .22LR are eligible as the match will be shot on SR-1 paper targets on the 100 yard range.
Spotting scope or equivalent.
Cost $10 for club members and $20 for guests
Classifications
M1-Carbine
Modern Military / Sport Rifles either scoped or irons.
Match can be shot in Position or off the Bench.
Bench shooters are allowed bipod or bag front support, but not both.
Course of fire
Unlimited sighters 5 minutes
10 Slow fire Prone, 10 minutes
10 Rapid fire Prone, with mag change 60 seconds
10 Slow fire Offhand, 10 minutes

The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. Through this course, the students will learn about rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, rifle shooting fundamentals, and rifle shooting activities. The Basic Rifle Shooting Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.

"NO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM!!!"

An NRA Certified Instructor will teach this 8-hour course. At the beginning of the class each student will receive...

Since this is an 8-hour (more or less) we located in a rural area you will need to provide your own lunch, refreshments, snacks, etc.

Match is 3 sets, shot from the prone / bench positions. Match score is total from all 3 rounds.
There is a 3-minute time limit per set starting at the buzzer after load and make ready.
NO COACHING – Shooter is responsible for hitting correct target, doping wind, etc.

Summer F-Class Match

This will be a 2x15 – 200yd slow fire match with two strings of 15 shots for 30 total rounds for record, all shot at 200yds on Shotmarker targets.

The first string will be 20 minutes for unlimited sighters and 15 shots for record, the second string will be 15 minutes for 2 sighters and 15 shots for record.

Any rifle that is permitted under the Flagler Gun and Archery Club SOP is allowed with the following exceptions:

1. Muzzle brakes are not allowed in any high-power rifle match

2. Any bullet up to .308 diameter (NRA limits is .35)

3. Caliber must be capable of functioning with electronic targets (i.e..22LR will not work).

4. Both prone and bench shooters must use the correct support for the class.

5. Shooters may shoot prone or from the bench. The MR-52 target will be used for all classes except for F-Class (F/TR and F/O) which will use the MR-31 target. The scoring rings of the MR-31 target are approximately half the diameter of the MR-52 scoring rings.

Reference is made to the NRA High Power Rules, NRA F-Class Rules and CMP Rifle and Pistol Games Rules. Please review the rules to see where your rifle is classified

There will be 5 rifle classes:

1. CMP Vintage sniper rifles up to 1976

2. NRA Service Rifles

3. NRA Any Rifles

4. AR Tactical (AR rifle, .223 up to .308, 16X scope max, Harris style bipod, rear bag with no “ears”)

5. F-class (F/TR and F/O)– rifles up to .308,, no restriction on scope. Adjustable front bag rests or bipods are allowed with any non-adjustable rear bag.

Summer F-Class Match

This will be a 2x15 – 200yd slow fire match with two strings of 15 shots for 30 total rounds for record, all shot at 200yds on Shotmarker targets.

The first string will be 20 minutes for unlimited sighters and 15 shots for record, the second string will be 15 minutes for 2 sighters and 15 shots for record.

Any rifle that is permitted under the Flagler Gun and Archery Club SOP is allowed with the following exceptions:

1. Muzzle brakes are not allowed in any high-power rifle match

2. Any bullet up to .308 diameter (NRA limits is .35)

3. Caliber must be capable of functioning with electronic targets (i.e..22LR will not work).

4. Both prone and bench shooters must use the correct support for the class.

Reference is made to the NRA High Power Rules, NRA F-Class Rules and CMP Rifle and Pistol Games Rules. Please review the rules to see where your rifle is classified

There will be 5 rifle classes:

1. CMP Vintage sniper rifles up to 1976

2. NRA Service Rifles

3. NRA Any Rifles

4. AR Tactical (AR rifle, .223 up to .308, 16X scope max, Harris style bipod, rear bag with no “ears”)

5. F-class (F/TR and F/O)– rifles up to .308,, no restriction on scope. Adjustable front bag rests or bipods are allowed with any non-adjustable rear bag.
